Two young identical twins. A childhood picture of Jessica Hansen, LMFT and Founder of CouplesTherapy.co. Being an identical twin is what inspired Jessica to become a Couples Therapist.

    Which one are you?

The (then) anxiously attached identical twin on the left 😍

Jessica Hansen, LMFT & Founder of CouplesTherapy.co

Jessica came into this world “pair bonded”. Double-trouble happened upon her in utero and after 20 years bumping around in her family of origin, 10 years in Silicon Valley / Beach working for Fortune 500 companies such as CBS for 7 years, Rodale as Corporate Digital Director for Men’s Health, Women’s Health, etc. in the tech space, and another 10+ years working as a Classical Pilates Practitioner, Studio Owner, and Psychotherapist specializing in working with Couples, she’s carrying the twin flame forward and launching a start-up of her own, CouplesTherapy.co!🍒

Jessica loves what she does and can now confidently say she knows a thing or TWO!

Tegra Anne Hansen (short for Integrity) aka Teggy!

Tegra met mama (Jessica) in West Hollywood, CA at Bark n’ Bitches when she was just eight weeks old, and they were inseparable from that moment on.

Tegra began her career going to work with mama when Jessica was Director of Sales at MySpace.com (remember that site?!). When MySpace sold, they packed their bags for Boulder, CO to study Somatic Psychology and Dance Movement Therapy at Naropa University, then back to Los Angeles to study Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University, in conjunction to studying Integrative Body Psychotherapy under the guidance and mentorship of co-founder Dr. Marjorie Rand.

Next, they left for Texas to train in Post Induction Therapy treating childhood trauma that manifests as codependence, and addiction of all kinds, including sex and love addiction (yes that’s a thing), and facilitated groups at the world renowned Meadows Treatment Center. Jessica learned Somatic Experiencing treating all sorts of trauma, and PACT, under the amazing Dr. Stan Tatkin, learning his Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy.

They eventually made their way to Miami studying more PACT and got certified in Gottman’s Sound Relationship Theory for couples — soaked up the sun, swam in the ocean, learned to scuba dive and traveled the world diving in some of the coolest spots in the world, including the Red Sea. We walked the beaches daily, flew planes, learned Spanish and Salsa, got married and quickly divorced (ouch, that hurt)… her Certification in Divorce Mediation helped guide her, ALL the while supporting couples online!!!

Along the way, Jessica became one of only 48 people who was trained and certified from the last man, Jay Grimes (1940–2024), who worked with and was trained by Joseph Pilates and has been a Classical Pilates Practitioner teaching Pilates in its authentic form and function on equipment true to spec, intermittently for the past 15 years.

Tegra was part of every single therapy session, ask Mama — she never missed one.

Tegra started as an Emotional Support Animal and then became a Service Animal. Tegra has been a regular in the Pilates Studios, most notably our own in Venice Beach, CA, and most recently in Miami Beach, where she loved basking in the red light and doing her best to heal.

At 14.8 years old in November 2025, Tegra passed in Jessica’s arms adorned with a purple crown and surrounded by love.

Integrity remains the heart of the operation — the quiet co-therapist and the forever Cherry Queen of CouplesTherapy.co.

While her body is no longer here, her spirit is very much alive. Jessica continues to co-create much of this work with her in the spirit of the brilliant message both she and Jay taught her matters most…

    It’s okay to play!

Long live The Cherry Queen. 🍒👑🐾
