Holidays Section of CouplesTherapy.co As you’ve gathered, I love holidays. For me, they’re an invitation to amp up the vibe and engage in shared ritual and tradition. To celebrate! That said, nowadays we walk into Walgreens and see Christmas decorations in September; rather than the holidays being something we look forward to, we’re starting to feel put upon. In this bombardment, we’re beginning to lose the heart in the hype. What were once joyful times of connection have become wrought with outrageous financial expectations, familial obligations, and STRESS. Because of that, I’ve become inspired to do something about it. I’m researching the holidays—their origins and the heart of their matter that’s gotten lost in the capitalistic mayhem—to inform us, remind us, and imagine (rather than re-imagine because there’s no going back), how we can place our hearts front and center of it all. On how we can create rituals of connection that feel more authentic to the intended message, or NEW intended vibes in the future. More on that to come! For now, make sure to visit the Love is Fun!
